Aviation Medicals

To make an appointment please send me the email form on the ‘Book your medical‘ link.

If you can suggest a date and time for your appointment, I will do my best to meet this.

I will normally contact you with some screener medical questions so that we can plan the time for your medical and so that you can obtain any necessary medical reports on conditions you may have.

Please do not assume the appointment is confirmed until we have agreed a time, date and location, and you have received the booking email and paid to book the appointment.

Not a UK License holder?

If your state of license issue (SOLI) is not the UK, I cannot use the AME online system and have to post the paperwork to the relevant aviation authority instead. Please check that the address of your aviation authority is correct on the download here.  Please note that I have to charge for postage and that I use recorded delivery.

I can revalidate or renew EASA and JAR-compliant certificates issued by the EU states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK; and also the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) States: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

I cannot renew Turkish or Serbian certificates. JAR certificates issued by AMEs in these states are not deemed to be EASA certificates and therefore cannot be revalidated or renewed by UK AMEs. For medical assessments on applicants from other states, I will issue an EASA certificate whether or not your state of licence issue has transitioned to EASA. This is because, as a UK certified AME, I can no longer issue JAA certificates.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, and the government’s advice on social distancing and non-essential journeys, and my return to NHS work, I am restricting the number and nature of pilot medicals I am booking. Clients should bear in mind that extensions to validity of commercial medical certificates have been adopted by the UK CAA. Please see their website for details. Before attending a medical, please confirm that you have not had symptoms in the last week, or have been in contact in the last two weeks with someone who has symptoms. Please wear a face covering to your medical. Please note that I will check your forehead temperature before proceeding on the day.
